Warranty-Backed Installation
ZAutoSound provides warranty coverage on our installation labor and workmanship.
When you have work done at ZAutoSound, we stand behind the quality of our installation. If something we installed develops an issue caused by our workmanship — a loose connection, improper fitment, or wiring issue — we want to know about it and we will make it right.
Warranty terms and duration vary depending on the type of service performed. Please ask us at the time of service to confirm what coverage applies to your specific installation.
Important: Our installation warranty covers the work we perform — not the products themselves. Most components we install carry their own manufacturer warranty, which we can help you navigate if needed.
Generally Covered
Issues arising directly from our installation work:
- Workmanship and installation labor performed by ZAutoSound
- Loose connections, rattles, or fitment issues caused by the installation
- Electrical wiring defects directly related to our installation work
- Component mounting and bracket fitment
- Head unit and display installation alignment
- Speaker and subwoofer enclosure fitment
Generally Not Covered
Items outside the scope of our installation warranty:
- Physical damage to components after installation
- Damage caused by customer modifications or third-party work
- Normal wear and tear on components over time
- Product defects covered under the manufacturer's own warranty
- Water damage or environmental damage not caused by installation
- Electrical issues caused by pre-existing vehicle problems
- Issues caused by vehicle accidents or collisions
Parts vs. Labor — What's the Difference?
Installation Labor (Our Warranty)
This covers the work our technicians performed — how components were wired, mounted, and installed. If an installation issue surfaces, this is what we stand behind.
Components / Products (Manufacturer Warranty)
The products themselves — head units, speakers, amplifiers, security systems — carry their own manufacturer warranties. We can help you file a manufacturer warranty claim if a product fails during its warranty period.
Customer Responsibilities
- •Do not allow other shops or untrained individuals to modify or re-work our installation, as this may void warranty coverage.
- •Report issues promptly — contact us as soon as you notice a problem. Delayed reporting can complicate assessment.
- •Keep your service receipt or invoice — this is your proof of service and may be needed for a warranty claim.
- •Warranty service requires the vehicle to be brought to our Hesperia location for inspection.
